Strangest DC's

Wierd shi.t, I was playing css last night and started lagging like a year old hillbrow ho. Latency went from 60 to 600 and then came back but was crappy. Been feeling like i was lagging in wow as well but latency was normal

That is 100% what was happening to me. I even mentioned it to Jase that my ping is normal but I lag like a bitch.

Might be a long shot, but have you updated all your drivers? I know there are new nvidia drivers out. But there are problems with the internet.

Take hammer, use hammer on modem. Call telkom wait for tech to come, use hammer on tech wait for another

Problem is, the same drivers worked fine before the patch :(

I honestly don't know. I hope it's internet related and it's fixed when i get home :)

im also having a dc problem. mine started since i installed questhelper. i get dc like every 5 mins. wil it solve this problem if i maybe reinstall the game?

I know QuestHelper is one of the add-ons that cause a lot of problems, so it's likely that it might be it in your case. Try removing it first and see if it still dc's.

I did a raid on Saturday (Omen in Moonglade), and I also got disconnected. Got it about a minute before Omen died. Tried to reconnect immediately, but got dc'ed again. On the third reconnect, I got in, but then Omen was already dead. Luckily I still managed to get the quest completed.

I've also been having major drama with my connection & WoW, but I'm laying the blame squarely at the feet of my ISP, Iburst.

I can manage solo play outside of a major cities fine for the most part, although I get fairly frequent and random spikes and DC's, but Dalaran is completely off limits to me other than during the early morning (before 0800 local). I'll go from a ping of 4-600 to insant DC on entering, or even flying too close to the city, and it's driving me insane. Even 5 man content is a very hit and miss affair lately, & I often end up turning all my detail settings down in addition to disabling every mod or other app that might be online to try prevent DC's.
It's not just WoW, and general web use has also been atrocious the last few months with Iburst but it's most apparent in WoW.
And it's not that calling the helpdesk & complaining helps matters either, all I ever get is the standard "we're not aware of any problems, but we'll check and get back to you" answer.
All in all, that damn cable needs to land in June or whenever, and we need to see an immediate, dramatic and looooooooooooooong overdue improvement in the internet infrastructire in this country.

I just wonder how badly we're still going to be screwed over even then though, because that seems to be the default state of affairs where telecomms in this country is concerned, and I really doubt it's ever going to change :/

Questhelper seems to add insult to injury, but it's not the soul perpetrator.

As for the omen quest, you don't have to be in a raid/party or even touch him ... anyone can walk over his dead body and complete the quest :D

We had one huge mob of alliance & horde together taking him out. The guys got a little upset when people were using AoE damange :p ... and ofcourse there were some idiots ganking us from the back as well.

I have the same problem.

Repaired WoW. Disabled all add-ons. Reinstalled WoW.

Still happening, using MTN HSDPA.

I am wondering if Vista is to blame.

Oh and I have an ATI card so the Nvidia connection is out.

It is very annoying and I hope it resolves itself soon, I need to get to 80.

Same problem here - it's 3.0.8.

At one stage I got disconnected, and wasn't able to log in for 20 minutes. Everything else was working fine, it was just WoW that was screwed.

During the raid, random people (Including MT, OT) were getting disconnected at random. I can't believe we actually managed to do Thaddius with this :)

I doubt it's Vista. I'm on XP and having problems. Most likely it's something that Blizzard changed somewhere and they don't really know where the problem is or how to fix it. That's probably why Bliz is so quiet about this.

I saw that the requirements moved up to XP SP3 and not SP2 anymore. It might be related to that, but I doubt it. Anyone else want to comment on the wrong service pack causing the issue?

I'm playing on SP3 but the DC'd keeps on happening. It was better Friday night but then went back to the 10-15 minute intervals again :(

I had many problems with Dalaran and DC's seems Quest Helper was a big culprit.

Hasn't been to bad lately, but overall game lag in the evenings is bad for everyone on our server. Had to tank Heigen for 48 mins when a lag spike dropped 20 of the 25, left me tanking, shammy healer, Lock, ret pally and OT for 85% of his health.

I also then DC'ed on Patch as hurtful tank logged back in expecting to see the usually carnage and there I was still up, just auto-hitting.

Problem I am having is major frame rate issues in Naxx when the Aoe starts. I have turned all settings right down but doesnt seem to make a difference, any solutions besides a faster pc.
