I've also been having major drama with my connection & WoW, but I'm laying the blame squarely at the feet of my ISP, Iburst.
I can manage solo play outside of a major cities fine for the most part, although I get fairly frequent and random spikes and DC's, but Dalaran is completely off limits to me other than during the early morning (before 0800 local). I'll go from a ping of 4-600 to insant DC on entering, or even flying too close to the city, and it's driving me insane. Even 5 man content is a very hit and miss affair lately, & I often end up turning all my detail settings down in addition to disabling every mod or other app that might be online to try prevent DC's.
It's not just WoW, and general web use has also been atrocious the last few months with Iburst but it's most apparent in WoW.
And it's not that calling the helpdesk & complaining helps matters either, all I ever get is the standard "we're not aware of any problems, but we'll check and get back to you" answer.
All in all, that damn cable needs to land in June or whenever, and we need to see an immediate, dramatic and looooooooooooooong overdue improvement in the internet infrastructire in this country.
I just wonder how badly we're still going to be screwed over even then though, because that seems to be the default state of affairs where telecomms in this country is concerned, and I really doubt it's ever going to change :/
