I've recently cancelled my dstv subscription and although I'm doing fine without it, I probably would want to watch the test match tomorrow. Does anyone know how much data it would use to stream the match? Is a 2mb line fast enough for this?

I have done this about htree times and it uses about 480 mb, this is using supersport online streaming

I have streamed before. Apart from eating up a lot of data the picture froze a couple of times.

I have found a better solution. I go to a pub around the corner buy one colddrink for R11 while I watch it.

It depends on the one streaming it to you. I could just about watch sport on my old 1mb line, so you could be ok.
Now on a 4mb many streams STILL lags and splutters depending on how many people are on it...like F1-you watch it in Spanish(less lag) and listen to the English broadcast on another channel.

I watch motorsport Saturdays and Sundays and I've gone from 30gig normal usage to now averaging closer to 200gig.:D

Also, How would you stream the match without a DSTV subscription? is there another website other than supersport to stream the match?

I don't have a dstv subscription and I watch rugby, olympics, F1 etc streamed from Supersport.

As I recall I just registered on the site and voilà.

takes less than 300mb - if you don't keep streaming during half time, and close it once the man of the match is announced...

...not the best quality, but very watchable.

until our line was upgraded to 2mb, we watched mostly perfectly on a 1mb line - it did buffer everyone now again but i then switched between connections (i use afrihost, is and telkom) and all was fine again

Necro!

Does anyone have a site that I can stream the Bulls vs Sharks game from tonight?

Also is it still viable to stream it for +- 350mb/hour?
