Have a NVR with 10 IP Camera's (dahua) hard wired to a monitor on one side of the house with the main TV on the other side of the house. Impractical at this stage to hard wire to the main TV but would like to view the camera feeds on the smart TV which is connected on the same WIFI as the NVR. Almost impossible to find decent information online on how to stream the cameras seamlessly and was hoping someone has a foolproof solution. Thus far, I cannot find a decent android TV app to stream all the cameras, DLNA does not work on my TV, Chromecast has too many issues, connecting a Raspberry PI over wifi has too many limitations and is overly complex.
I am sure it cant be this difficult ?

Your main issue is assuming smart tvs can be used for niche requirements ;)
Protip-it's not a pc or a swiss army knife

Hdmi/vga over IP or some other IP based solution would probably be your simplest option

Wireless option ?

Most of the dvr's for these cameras, if connected to the lan, can be accessed via a browser or app. this allows you to view the cameras live or playback. You can also control PTZ cameras..

Something like this:

3 ways Direct HDMI (Hdmi Splitter) to TV or mirror your phone to the TV. Hdmi is the way there is no loss of footage. wireless hdmi is another option.
