Hi,
A few months ago I upgraded from mountain lion to mavericks, and installed the 10.9.4 update. Then soon afterwards I noticed that when I'd watch some videos from my windows server machine there would be about a few seconds delay buffering every few minutes, and couldn't understand why.
So I did some searching on the web and found out that apple introduced something called SMB2 with the 10.9.4 update, which is suppose to improve windows file sharing capabilities - but in my case just worsened it. I tried defaulting back to using SMB using CIFS but that didn't make any difference. I even installed an application SMBUp to see if it could fix my problem, to no avail.
I know for a fact that its not my windows server because I have another mac running an older version of mavericks without the streaming issues I have.
So has anyone experienced any of these issues? Or know of a solution or workaround?
Thanks in advance
