As the title reads, is there anything like this available?

Basically at the moment in our new house there is no adsl lines at all so we are currently using a 100GB pm Telkom LTE sim with router.

My daughters can spend all day on YouTube and in the last 3 days we've used over 30GB so at that pace we will run out by next week which is not ideal at all.

I was wondering if there a "streaming" package of sorts which I could get to alleviate this problem. Any suggestions?

They use android tablets and in the YouTube app settings, there's no way to restrict video quality to 360p so by that usage I'm pretty convinced she is watching in 1080p and the videos run for roughly 10 minutes each.

Any suggestions?

I use Opera Max on my mobile. It compressing the images and browsing to save data. I am not sure about Youtube, but you can try. Opera Mini has a Turbo function to for compressing. Not sure about the video's. Try it and see, maybe it can help you

Limit your daughters' TV time, all day is not good for them, even in the school holidays.

Check this out: http://www.telkom.co.za/today/unlimited-broadband/

I'm using this and I consume just over 100GB on streaming, and once in a while use the allocated 50GB on P2P

Thanks for the link. I looked into that but two problems - 1. Don't want to sign a 24 month contract and 2. Space is an issue in our area.

Ideally looking for another month to month type deal or something similar.

This is my take on the contract. Since it is "Uncapped" I am immune to price increases. The only issue could be performance, but so far so good, its been a year.

What do you mean by space?

Each of those WiFi "stations" only have a certain amount of open spaces that you "rent". My area was completely full but seems they have added a new one.

Once fibre lines are installed (which could only be next year but I think will be sooner as a lot more people are building here) then I won't need to worry about usage anymore as will go uncapped again. It's hard coming from years of uncapped to now monitoring everyday.

Problem with most "LTE" packages are the little amount of data.

LTE is essentially a very very good competitor for ADSL speeds. (low pings, high speed)

Problem is the price of data. ADSL data being very cheap.. (maybe Afrihost 20gig - R987 PM (Incl. VAT)). I also seen Cell-C got some contracts.. Huawei B315 LTE Router on SmartData 30GB at R679 pm x 24 and even 50gig packages but then it's going well over R1100.

LTE or LTE Advanced is a good tech it's cheaper to use than ADSL for the low end user (say 2gigs or 5gig user) - Not having to pay for line rentals and ADSL rentals. Just paying for your 5gig data(5gig @ R247 from Afrihost). If you mostly surf don't Skype too often and use youtube just for fun .. maybe an hour or so a week... then 5gig is fine. They score a lot.

Most sites nowa-days are Content rich, lots of High_Res pictures, Integrated video or Flash/Java animations to make the webpages more interactive and "Live". Unfortunately it's all Data... and u need the speed to load them.

Lets hope LTE data becomes cheaper in a year or two (GPRS,3G,HSDPA,LTE, LTE-A its all still Simcard Data just at different speeds. price is the same, they just upgrade the towers)
