Streaming Suggestions (Upgraded!)

Now that I have my 4meg line I plan on doing some more streaming, currently I use TVMC because it's much easier than getting the regular Kodi.

However I notice that most things I stream on there show in "SD".

I want to watch some sports in HD primarly Cricket and Soccer.

I use Sportsdevil on TVMC but again it's in SD.

Any suggestions??

I dont think you can stream HD with a 4mb line to be honest, think you need at least 6mb.

I streamed HD on Netflix on my 4mb line without any issues at all.

I cant really comment as i have never had a 4mb line, But as far as i know its a universal known fact you need a 6mb line for HD and 3mb for SD. I used to have a 2mb Line, it could also stream SD, but there was buffering every now and again.
Maybe Netflix compresses their HD somehow.

That's not true, I've streamed HD before with other apps...

I think the reason it's showing in SD on kodi/TVMC is because the stream is not in HD.

I wont say how I got this information, but if you use Pornhub on a 2mb line the videos max quality option comes up as 480p. But if you use a LTE device it gives you a 720p option. I though this might be the reason, but perhaps you are right, i don't know.

Okay I understand maybe it's different for some, back to the question... Any good add ons or such. I like Genesis for movies and i have other apps but for sports all i can find is SD streams...

For HD Sports, you'll have to get a paid service like ntv.mx
All the free links are usually SD and the HD ones get taken down in hours.
For HD shows/movies you could try Showbox apk for Android.

Guess sports I'll manage with SD

Everyone compresses their streamed content.... and its not a universal known fact that you need a 6mb line. 3mb and above will do but you may get buffering from time to time.
