Okay this is probably going to be difficult to explain, i have a 2MB account from Mweb, we stream quite a few stuff, but the problem is only one person person can be logged into DSTV at a time, and besides that the 2MB line cant handle 2 people streaming at the same time.
Everything is wireless and connected to one of those FON routers, So our question is, if im watching SuperSport in my room, is there anyway i can forward that stream to a different TV (not using internet, but rather the network) and how would i do this?

A Chromecast would work nicely here. Plug the Chromecast into the TV, cast a Chrome tab from your PC/laptop, put the video fullscreen and enjoy on the TV.

Okay maybe i'm stupid, but how will this work?
My understanding is its a small medial player which you can stream media to, how will this replicate to other TV's in the house besides the one its plugged into?

Chromecast sticks to pick up the cast' stream

so there is one cast stream, and i just stick one of these in each TV?
bloody expensive exercise, R600 each ChromeCast....
These has to be another way of using an existing Wifi network to do this.

Network isn't your problem, your problem is Software -> Your other TV receiving, and sending this video stream from a browser is

You can only cast it to one Chromecast at a time. Didn't know you wanted it to be in multiple TVs simultaneously.

Well then you can try using VLC streaming http://grok.lsu.edu/article.aspx?articleId=14625s

Let me try to explain a little better, in my room i have a Micorserver, its connected via Wifi to my Mweb router, on this Micorserver i stream Supersport.
Now my brother lives in the house next to mine, the router is placed in such a way that he has full signal in his house, now he also has a TV with a HTPC, unfortunately we only have 1 supersport account, and besides that, we cant simultaneously stream from the internet as we only have a 2MB line and its to slow.
So this weekend he asked me why i cant just forward the stream im watching to his TV (HTPC), this way im streaming from the internet, and he is streaming from me over the network.

Can this be done with the VLC Streaming?

No way to use something like plex to do this?

Sorry all i use plex for is to share my media library so have no idea of it's other capabilities/plugins.

Nope. No supersport channel on Plex anymore.

The only options are really either vlc or a hardware device like a slingbox directly from the decoder (not sure about DRM though).

how do you broadcast the signal to the Chromecast and would this work for gaming per chance?

Problem probably being how do i get VLC to actually stream the Supersport feed, wont supersport block it?

You can send your HDMI signal over ethernet cables. Think you need two though and there's a max length over which it will work. Coax not an option maybe?
Splitting the signal would be a better option than trying to stream to a second tv imo.

Ag starting to think its just not worth it. He can go watch sports at a pub.
