Hey peeps,
I am on holiday at a farm in Mooi River. We are literally out in the middle of nowhere (awesome though).
If I am lucky, I will get 3 bars Edge on Vodacom. Most of the time it is either 1 bar or nothing at all.
I have managed to get a relatively stable connection by hooking up my Netgear wireless access point and plugging my 3G modem into that, then connect my cell to the Netgear.
I have hung the 3G modem from one of the beams in the ceiling using 2 USB cables. This is working okay.
The roof is thatch and I think that may be helping to get a better signal compared to lower down.
Do any if you guys have any tricks for strengthening the signal further? A strong and stable Edge connection will help my internet connection addiction for the next 8 days.
