Stroop wafels! - Pretoria

So, I found Helgas, but it was closed... Thanks anyway, I'll be using the reference in the future. Had to drive all the way to Jasmyn in Harties...ROADTRIP!!! And lo-behold, they had a whole rack full of stroop wafels! :-D And while I was there I got some potjiekos ingredients and a skaap-bout. Man I love long weekends.

And no, stroop wafels are not to be home baked...Come on :-) The best way to eat these by the way, is to make a good cup of coffee and then place the "wafel" on top so the syrup gets soft. MMMmmmm.....

O_O

Blashpemy! Home-baked goods just taste so much better.

The magic of a Stroopwafel is that the syrup is layered in between the waffle itself. Sort of like a syrup waffle sandwich. It's not like it's just soaked in syrup, as stroopwafel noobs here are probably imagining.
