Since yesterday I have been stuggling to make a normal PPTP VPN connection using my vodacom data stick. When I am at home thou, I can connect using my ADSL line without an issue, is there a problem at the moment? Anyone else having the same kinda problem?

internet, I can browse the internet, can send / receive emails. All the usual stuff, just suddenly not VPN, it gets to "verifying username / password" and then says the remote computer didnt respond, but my home PC can connect via ADSL, so its not the VPN.

internet APN should be fine. Is the remote VPN server pingable? If it is, it might be an easy test to see if there is a routing issue on the Vodacom network somewhere. Best might be to call 155 and log a fault.

Yeah, Vodacom seem to be changing their routing or firewall settings on a regular basis.

A friend of mine also could not connect onto his VPN the other day using "internet" APN. Switched over to "unrestricted" and it work just fine.
