Students removed from TUT, says movement

The forced removal of students at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) late on Monday night was unacceptable, an Outsourcing Must Fall movement official has said.

Spokesperson Vusi Mahlangu on Monday told News24 that students were being forcibly removed by armed security.

“It is absolute chaos. There has been damage to property and it is quite frankly a bad situation at the moment. We condemn the attacking of students in the middle of the night and call the closing of the campus by management childish. They always resort to closing the campus,” said Mahlangu.

The university earlier on Monday announced it would close down its Soshanguve campuses following a spate of protests.

University spokesperson, Willa de Ruyter, had previously said that despite discussions between management, the Central Student Representative Council (CSRC), Local Student Representative Council (LSRC) and the agreements reached, as well as an interdict that was still in force, a small group of people continued to disrupt activities at the Soshanguve campuses.

The students have been protesting and demanding that university management resolve the issue of financial exclusion among other issues.

Dunno why they even bother keeping that campus open. There are riots there every year and students never get to finish what they need to learn. Certainly not a "qualification" I would consider when recruiting

So, it is childish of management t to close the campus in an effort to stop the destruction of protection but totally adult of the "movement" to destroy and burn to make outsourcing fall?

I say destroy it all - to the ground.
1) Then no one will be outsourced because there will be no work
2) No student protest because there will be no students

The ones that really want to make something of themselves will do it online.

All of these student protests are just another phase in the ANC master plan to keep their voter base uneducated, unquestioning, loyal subjects living in poverty. They do this to keep themselves in power. Other strategies include the non delivery of textbooks, the poor state of schools on ANC provinces, parents keeping their children from going to school and countless other actions.
