There is good money in retail?

Honest question though. I'm curious :o

O ok, I just wanted some idea of what you define as a good salary.

Listen, I can gather that you stay with you folks still and R 6000 sounds like a hell of allot. Personally if I was in your shoes, I would find a 1/2 day job (waiter maybe?) They pay just as much, you work your ass off but you have lots of time to study. When you start earning real money as a Lawyer or whatever you will thank me for this advice. You are going to get sucked in to staying in retail and moving your studies aside year after year till you one day realize it's too late now to get a decent education and reap the rewards :)

@Dell Fan: I'm a UNISA BSc student, have a full time job and come home to a wife and two rugrats. Not easy to study but I've learn't to get by. Most important is finding your motivation. I found mine by taking up sport (cycling). I also spend no more than two evenings a week on my studies, more than that makes my live boring.

I kinda agree with Pitbull on the get a 1/2 day job. I'm lucky in my job is true flexi hours and only 40hrs a week. I use to be in retail and tried to study then but dropped it due to the lack of time and energy.

Couldn't agree more.

I am also studying through UNISA and working full time. When I get home from work I am too tired to study, so I force myself to go for a quick 5km run and after that I have more energy and am a lot more focussed.

I study every night though so I have to run everyday.

Motivation to study and stay lean :p

thats the thing i cant get the motivation to study after work, i study on my off days perfectily fine but yeah its not enough. Ill see perhaps if i can do some excersise or whatever afterwards like you all sugested. this is harder than what i thought...

Thing is mate, you need to decide what you want and how bad you want it. if you want to work your current job and Study then you need to make it work somehow. All the best mate, just remember that your studies should always get 1st pref especially in your shoes where you are at home and don't have kids/wife and so on to look after.

listen my advice is if you are in need of money then do the job, other wise first finish the studies then any time u can earn money much more then now what you are getting. Since nothing is more important then studies and very few people get a chance to do further studies. And if at all you want to do both the things then try to do little yoga, meditation after coming from work then start your studies, that will help you relax your mind, get some energy and increase your concentration. All the Best.

I'm also working and studying at the same time. The secret is to manage your time. Remember that there is a finite amount of time to do things. Plan it out and stay to the schedule. Include socializing as well and some exercise. And remember. Tv and games are time consuming. Keep it
to the minimum.

And the big secret. Redbull
