Good Day to all.

As the post title suggests. I want to study/do a short course in Business Analysis. It seems to be a highly specialized area and a skill plus certificate that I want to add to my portfolio. Currently have a BA in Psychology & Philosophy. I would like to do this part time as I am running my own business. Where is the best place to do this? Does UNISA offer it or are there better alternatives out there and most importantly, how much am I looking at with regards to fees requirements?

Any and all feedback welcome

Thank you

Thank you for the links. I'm just hoping I wont be bored or dislike it. May need to relook at exactly why i want to get into it. I'm currently in design and graphics industry and I'm looking for something that is NOT graphics related. Multimedia would be fun though. Thought of doing java for the longest time too but unsure about the coding too. I lose interest quickly. Sigh.

Hahaha I think I'm too young to die. Any suggestions perhaps on a short course that will broaden my horizon without boring me to death? I was so amped for business analysis till I learnt from other posts what most do. paperwork is not my idea of fun. tech and multimedia now that I find fun and interesting. Or perhaps I'm just stressing myself and I will do more good learning from online videos and tuts without needing to enroll in an institution.

Have a look at this

https://www.getsmarter.com/courses/za/business-analyst-bsa-short-course

It is a bit expensive though at R15k

Yeah did this course and uhm, if you do not work in IT already you may struggle your behind off.

My insight into BSA.. if you aren't already an IT professional in dev or pm with exposure to how IT projects run and what's really going on etc then doing a BSA will be a leap, salary wise you will need a few lucky breaks to get on the mid to upper sal curve. If however you in fin and do dev etc then get ready to right that rocket ship from what I see.. keep in mind you will still need to get a BSA cert ie CBAP.. pretty much like how PM & PMP = $$ but not really..
