Okay So yesterday I ported to MTN From Vodacom - What a difference the BIS is crazy fast, I'm loving it!

But when my voda sim cut and it was time for my MTN one to go in, it told me that i had to re-enter in my blackberry ID.

This was fine and i entered it, but it just didn't want to load! (the email and password were correct as I double checked the BBID website)

I even left it over night to load in and it just said "please wait"

so today i tried turning on the wifi with my old sim and then put the MTN back in, but still nothing so I ended up wasting my time and wiping my phone clean. then did a back up.

I just thought to myself what if I was a businessman traveling the world and needed to use multiple sims? how would this be fixed? I really feel this is a stupid means of so called security to OS.7

I also suffered the same problem with my Bold 9900, its a stupid security feature that protects your data should your phone get stolen.

The only way around that is to make sure that the new sim card that you are inserting into phone is BIS activated. Then you need to 'attempt an emergency call', I think there's an option there if I'm not mistaken. Then quickly end the call (this ensures that BIS is activated) then it will redirect you to the BB ID. Screen and you can enter your password and it will log you in successfully.

That is the ONLY way to do it, or you gonna need to wipe the phone and reload everything all over again.

Hope this helps
