I got to know the answer! :o

I joined the website www.btaccel.com which basically lets paste torrent links, which downloads onto their server and from there you can download onto your computer. What I want to know is when downloading from the torrent link to their server...does it use up your cap? Surely not...

it uses the amount you need to browse to it - should be very little.

yep, the actual p2p traffic flows between the server and the swarm, ie. no uploading from your machine
downloading it from the server after it's completed though obviously uses cap however

Nope, you're just issuing an instruction a remote server. You can switch off your pc while it pulls, or pull it from someone else's house...or even someone else's btaccel account.
