Have a dial up account with MWEB. Wife has used same account in her restaurant last 5 years couple machines (proxy analogx) for the clients (use it don't use it) convenience. Dial up costs for shop line varies between R900 and R1100 pm.
Have R7 telkom at home (no comments plse)Only access net over weekend when business closed.
Thinking makes sense to scrap both "home and shop additional" telkom lines. Take wireless modem home from shop as and when required.

Q. What must I do about Mweb, need email (not at R138pm)and don't want Bill's coldmail?
Maybe Sentech provides email?

I think it has been mentioned you get email and all, hehehe, and all, i like that advert....

have to wait and see, I'm first in line, so feck off! :)

btw, dont your shop need a phone line for enquiries or delivery orders? :)

What advert are you refering to?

Couldn't be Mweb just explained that I wish to discontinue their service if poss.
AnalogX is freeware.
Restaurant is not named.

You know what I did many years ago, is I took out an email only (no logon) account with then Club Internet, now known as Stormnet for R172 pa (R14.30 pm) and that enables me to jump around Isp's etc for the best system etc..
Gives you freedom of movement so to speak.
Then when I join another Isp I use that email address for forums, news groups and stuff like that so when I move again, its no train smash when the account is dumped.
 
ProASM has a good suggestion.

I would even go further and register my own domain and mailboxes for that domain with an ISP.

That way you can keep your e-mail address for as long as you wish - even when changing ISP.

I don't know which ISP's offer such a service at present, but I suspect TelkomSA might just do [:D] - though I suspect at a massive price tag.

If you want your own domain I recommend that you try http://mydomain.com.

I have used for the last two years, with no problems. You can set up as many email aliases on your domain as you wish and forward them to several accounts or to a catch all account. Web page redirection is also great. The basic service is free and the domain registration fee is competitive.

No affiliation, just a happy customer.
