I have been reading the forums for quite a while now.
But somehow im missing an important point concerning Port Prioritisation.

Telkom states, with port prioritisation, the avarage user is protected..
Protected from what is my question????

You are 100% correct.
Power users will take up ALL your "bandwidth" and make your internet experience unpleasant.
Telkom will protect you from such evil power users.
Telkom is on your side -
Telkom is your friend -
Telkom is protecting you -
Telkom wants you to get full value for your adsl service.
Don't you just love Telkom [:D]

Until you discover ............. Telkom loves the evil power users more than you !!
Telkom will give the evil power users another 3GB - for R219.00

Then you realise -- Telkom could not care a fig about you

Protect you from P2P leechers (Kazaa, Overnet, eDonkey etc.). The problem is most of these programs can be configured to bypass the port priotization, unfortunately that leaves the rest of us that need to use non-standard ports in the dark.

Hey all. We have setup the local edonkey server. Point donkey to zahub.kicks-ass.net port: 4661 [:D][8D][:D] You can visit http://zahub.kicks-ass.net for more info on other P2P networks for SA
