Hey folks.
As some of you know i'm developing some Recipe Software that can be run on Windows, that will feature all the recipes submitted by YOU, the community.

I've made it very easy for you guys to submit :)
-All you need to do is copy and edit the template below, and post your recipe here in this thread.
-If you guys follow the posting guidelines correctly you will make my job easier, so please read them. ;)

Here is the Template:

Insert your Image here, of the final Product. This is not optional, you need a Photo (around 640x480 resolution)
(You may upload to www.imgur.com and just insert the image that way)

Title:
Recipe title goes here

Author:
Your nickname here

Serves:
?

Select one or more, or write "-" for none: Bread, Casserole, Pasta, Soup, Pastry, Cake, Tart, Cookie, Pizza, Salad, Sandwich, Sauce

Ingredients:
Add ingredients here, each on a separate line.
Always try to list in the following manner: UNIT MEASUREMENT ITEM (eg: 200 ml milk, 1 can onion soup)
The following measurement descriptions should be used:
g, kg, ml, l, tbsp, tsp, can(s), cup(s), piece(s), whole, hand, pinch, small, medium, large
You may list UNIT & ITEM alone (eg: 2 eggs)
You may use half units (eg: 1/2 cup vinegar)
In certain cases it's okay to only write only the ITEM down (in the case of Salt and Pepper, for instance)
PLEASE:
-Do NOT use "1 cup chopped onions" in the ingredients, add "2 onions" in your ingredients, and add "chop the onions" in your preparations step!
-Do NOT use name brands for general items, unless it explicitly needs to be that brand. write "100ml mustard" not "100ml Heinz Original Mustard"
So Remember, NO "chopped", "diced", "pealed", "sliced", and NO Brand names unless needed.
Here are some good examples:
1 carrot
2 cans onion soup

You can also insert up to 3 Photos of important steps, between these lines.
eg:
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken and cook, turning, to brown on all sides.
<pic1>
Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Leave about 1 tablespoon of the oil in the skillet and add the onion and mushrooms.
Saute, stirring, until mushrooms are tender. Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute longer.
<pic2>
Add the wine and bring to a simmer. Simmer until tender.
Add the tomatoes and chicken broth, then return the chicken to the pan.
<pic3>
Remove the cover and continue cooking for 5 to 10 minutes longer.
Arrange the chicken on a platter, sprinkle with the chopped parsley, and serve with oven roasted or baked potatoes or noodles.

i'll post an example below.

RICE PUDDING

Ingredients:

110g pudding or white rice
400g evaporated milk
1/2 litre full cream milk
40g granulated or caster sugar
1 whole nutmeg
25g butter

Preheat the oven to gas mark 2, 150°C

Method:

This is very easy, because all you do is mix the evaporated milk and whole milk together in a jug, then place the rice and sugar in the ovenproof dish, pour in the liquid and give it all a good stir. Grate the whole nutmeg all over the surface), then grate pieces of butter on top in little flecks.

Next place the dish in the oven on the centre shelf and leave it there for 30 minutes, then slide the shelf out and give everything a good stir. Repeat the stirring after a further 30 minutes, then pop the dish back in the oven to cook for another hour, this time without stirring. By this time the rice grains will have become swollen, with pools of creamy liquid all around them, and, of course, all that lovely skin!

I sent this recipe to Sainsbury a few years ago and won a cheese selection

Your fist picture looks like chicken curry yet your recipe contains zero spices.

Blu, like i've said i'm not a chef... i'm a coder.

All 3 pics are actually from different sources and has nothing to do with the recipe itself, which has severely been modified and cut.
I didn't post it so you guys can actually cook it, I posted it so you can see what your post should look like.

It's an EXAMPLE. Please do not cook this Recipe! :D

The real recipes are where you guys come in. ;)

:D !!!! Oh, I see!

Sure, but if everyone said "Oh, I don't need to design my own car, Ford already does that" then we wouldn't have any other cars except for Ford.

I'm not letting everything out the bag yet but my App is going to have a few cool things others do not have.
You don't need an internet connection to use it either, all recipes will be available locally.
Besides, not everyone has iPads or Androids with "Apps", and connecting to the internet to search recipes eats up your 3G data, and needs proper signal to actually work.

I'm attempting to build the XBMC of Recipe software, but with free content.
