Subscribe to ShowMax with FNB eBucks

Showmax are really going to do well IMO.

Say what you want about Multichoice but they know how to make it easy to subscribe to their services...

I hope that put some MNET programs on - even later - like Cartle Blanche, Idols, Power Couples etc

Unfortunately they don't make it easy to use their services. They claim they're going global but still no roku app?

First they need to have a Chromecast app and a KODI app. But still ... wouldn't pay for it.
Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't - I'd like to be able to test it out properly first but without an app there's no chance of that happening.

I think AppleTV and Roku apps are coming soon (Well, I know the Apple TV app is coming soon, and I assume Roku will be soon as well)

I just wish Showmax will release an android app that works on Android media players. the current app in the play store only works on cell phones and tablets.

I emailed their support and the response was "maybe in the near future".. aka no plans in the pipeline.

A kodi addon would be nice as well. I really would like to subscribe to Showmax, but if I cant stream to my TV, whats the point.

Doesn't Android have an AirPlay variant?

his is actually quite innovate. Commended.

Someone made a good pont regarding Carte Blanche though.

My guess is they define it as "Premium" and a reason someone would rather pay more for DSTV, than ShowMax.

Huh? They are entirely separate businesses (albeit with the same shareholder). If they can licence Carte Blanche, I'm sure they will. I just doubt multichoice would licence it to them

So one can subscribe to a service worth R99 a month using ebucks. And this is news?

Well, its the first streaming service you can subscribe to using eBucks, so it is most certainly news worthy

Not gonna waste my eBucks on this thanks. There's no incentive to as there is no discount, except the measly 5% on a 6 month subscription. Make it 40% off across the range and I might consider it...

You do know Showmax has a whole KykNet section right? They are tied closer than you think.

They have whole HBO and Fox sections too, but are in no way tied to them. They buy content wherever they can (And with a focus on emerging market content obviously)
