So I decided to try out the Vodacom online shopping system to order a new data contract and modem. I've completed all the details and the contract has been approved and now I need to do the online activation.

I've received the activation email and I click the link and now it gives me an error:
Sorry there have been errors

How can the email be invalid? You just sent me an email!

I'm pretty sure that its the "+" in my email address that Vodacom has an issue with. Seems that they are another one of the sites with badly coded field validation. Why the field validation only at the end though... AFTER you've already sent me an email on that address. :wtf:

Tried to call the number that was included in the confirmation SMS and I ended up at someone who had nothing to do with Vodacom.

I then went to the website and found a number on the website and called them. They told me that there was "something wrong with my order" and insisted that I place a new order over the phone. That was more painful than going into a Vodashop.

Thought these online things were supposed to make my life easier.

I am not sure if it is related, but when we credit vet customers on our system it does not like email addresses with funny characters in them. One of my corporate clients that I often have to vet for add on lines has got a under score in his address, and the system will not accept it. Once the line is activated however I can amend it and use his email address.
