Thanks..walked into an MTN store and consultant mentioned it's a common problem when porting. She made a phone call and technician on the other side said it'll take 2 to 24 hours to sort out. Fingers crossed it works. If not I will try the sim swop option...

you found a good consultant at the shop , when the port is not completed correctly it then calls don't route correctly from one of the other cell networks
