I had an interesting experience yesterday. After over a month of running without issues my dashboard suddenly started crashing. I could not stay connected for more than a few minutes before the dash would crash (hey, that ryhmes :) )

I have a Novatel card and so I thought I'd try to get to the forums to see if any progress had been made on running the card without the dash, but I could not stay connected for long enough to even load the forum page, let alone do a search :(

Eventually about 11pm last night I decided to uninstall and then reinstall the vodaphone software. After reinstalling it seems to be kinda stable again. I did have 1 crash this morning, but was able to stay connected long enough to do some downloads.

So, questions:

- Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the dash? (for Novatel, NOT Option)
- Is Vodaphone gonna do anything about the crashes? Do they even have any idea why it crashes? To me it looked like maybe a connection error on the DUN port was causing the dashboard to crash, but I'm no expert.

This is potentially a big problem. Being a programmer and network admin I know a bit about computers and this had me stuck. Imagine what a poor computer illiterate end user feels like...

[An extra thought]
Sometimes when the dash crashes it asks if I want to save a crash dump. Is there anyone I could send this to who would be able to make sense of it and maybe figure out the reason for the crash?

The crashing dash is unfortunately a well know feature.

V5 is currently under test.

We did request a DUN setup for the Novatel, it came but did not work correctly. Will check again where we are with this.

Thanks.

Guess I'll keep monitoring the forums for updates.

I'm well aquainted with the crashing dashboard, having read many other posts here on the subject. What was odd for me was how mine suddenly decided to start crashing after a long period without issues.

We live in hope of a better future! :)
