Suddenly getting SPAM

Nobody but sentech has my sentech e-mail address ( I use another one ), but suddenly im getting spam on it, from SA companies

Mine still clean. Can count the number of mails received on that account since May 2004 on 1 hand. Maybe you were on the list sent out by mistake last year

not sure what the sentec addies look like, but it could just be that someone is doing a dictionary spam attach on the sentec domain.

Im getting tons of spam everyday. IT SUCKS!!!!!!

i suddenly started getting spam from companies related to NoWire
(you receive this mail b/c you recently signed up for our service - no i haven't)
I sent them a reply telling them thay must have been a mistake (just to see if/how they'd respond) and surprise: they responded with some more spam about services i didn't ask for.
But since i don't use that email address in any case, they can spam themselves silly for all i care...

Here is a tip to get basicly NO popups..AND surf safe...1) Go to "security" settings in IE6 or IE5 and slide the Internet bar right-up to the top...( if you have IE6, no need to tick "Block pop-ups"...you may leave the other sliders as-is!!...2) Go to "Privacy" ( next to Security tab ) and slide the bar FULL to the top....Pages will now open extremely faster than before AND you IE is protected quite well....The ONLY thing you must bare in mind is that you HAVE to add you TRUSTED sites ( under the SECURITY tab ) in under Trusted Sites...Where it says "Require Server Verification", take the "tick" OFF....now you are A-OK.....
If you subscribe to certain sites, but it looks as if they dont accept your password/loggon, just bring the sliders down again...but ONLY for that specific site...you could even ADD them to your "Trusted Sites" as well...(ie this site )
You must remember that the SPAM you usely get, comes from "cookies" stored on your machine AND sometimes if you "join" certain sites....Good Luck ;-)

Another tip, dont ever open spam, they have links inside that downloads images into the mail. Once the image has been downloaded they verify that the e-mail address is a valid one.

Even better, get Firefox and Thunderbird. Pop-up's are a thing of the past and spam gets handled well.
