Suggestions for a good probiotic?

I did, sounds like bs to me, manufacturers love segmentation - Daily/Kids/Gut all the same thing with slightly different dilutions.

I mean the idea is that you choose one not take all of them.

The kids one is made to be more palatable I believe, but haven’t actually tried it.

Probiotic Yogurt. Trust me on this one.

Unrefrigerated probiotics are not very useful. Our probiotics in SA are far inferior to overseas.

I got the Rawbiotics stuff, is it best to take probiotics before or after a meal?
I'd think after so all the little bugs can have a good meal upon arrival?

All my stuff says to take it 30min before or 30min after a meal.

I do find it does some weird **** if you take it first thing in the morning and then only eat many hours later.

And how do you measure that?

Subjectively I can say there is a vast difference in pain levels, bloat and bowel movements compared to when I forget to take the Rawbiotics and don’t.

How you will compare one to another is very tricky but I can definitely say it works and more than anything is also quite affordable compared to most because some of them really take the piss.

Medical experience with the ones in capsules/chewables.

Because I ended up in hospital twice from C.Diff gut bacteria spores that overwhelm good gut bacteria to replicate, despite the fact that I was on a daily 9 strain intensive capsule probiotic of over 5 billion CFU for years. Same probiotic also did nothing to prevent reoccurrence 2 weeks after antibiotics, and even the doctor-prescribed Reuterina did nothing.

After almost 40 days of a combination of broad spectrum antibiotics, metronidazole and vancomycin, my gut bacteria was annihilated. Even became lactose intolerant because all the gut bacteria to convert lactose were dead.

Was forced to rebuild my gut bacteria from scratch with healthy foods, sourdough bread and lactose-free probiotic yogurt. I don't skip a day without them.

So yeah. The capsules you find off the shelf in your Clicks/Dischem are mostly junk when you really need probiotics.

I see Rawbiotics are in liquid form and look quite good, if I had to pick one I'd go with that. I hadn't seen those before today.

Yeah Reuterina has never done anything for me.

All yoghurt is pretty much lactose free by the time it hits your stomach as the yoghurt eats the lactose in and of itself.

Right I thought you were specifically referring to Rawbiotics, I fully agree that capsules generally appear to do absolutely nothing.

Rawbiotics feel very much like they do much the same work that sourdough, kimchi, kombucha, yoghurt and other fermented stuff does for me.

Do you have a condition that requires you to take it or is it a youtube video that inspired it?
My stomach was struggling a while back and I think regular use of a probiotic is wise to prop up the army down there considering the junk we often put down our throats.

Which one though, some of the more expensive Woolworths yoghurts seem to be the only commercial ones available with legit live cultures?
