Hi there guys

Any suggestions from your side for a good, reliable small car?

Mainly it will be used for transport between Silverton and Irene (home-work-home) on a daily basis, with the occasional visit to shops etc.

Throw in your suggestions so I can start the culling process :D

TIA

hyundai i10? kia picanto? daihatsu anything?

I've driven a chevrolet spark before. quite nippy, if you dont mind your knees in your face though.

oh wait its the TLB. make that a porsche 911 turbo. its smallish, and should fit your budget for a little car just fine ;)

These small cars are such a rip off it makes one sick :(

Suzuki Swift FTW! Best car I have ever owned (and I have had Corollas, a Tazz, a beemer and a merc)

Light on petrol, nippy, and really solidly made. Mine was a bargain when I bought a year ago new - all the modcons C/L, P/S, lether steering wheel with controls, safe (6 airbags). Quick and handles like a go-kart.

Ford Fiesta
Mazda 2
Opel Corsa
Hyundai i20 or Getz
Renualt Clio
There's just so many

I agree, Getz, good value for money - all round incl. resale. Polo also good but check insurance first. Yaris a bit pricey.

Getz or Atos... (i20 and i10 now) They sniff petrol fumes and drive for miles

What about that miniature three wheeled car with the lawn mover engine that featured on Top Gear? it was made on the Isle of Man, should be able to get a good second hand one even if they dont make them anymore!

Need a budget.
Many good reliable small cars from R100k to R400k.
