Suggestions for a Network Chat Tool

Hey guys, I'm looking for a chat tool for a local network only. Not interested in anything that has to connect online. Does not have to have video features, but would be nice Any suggestions ??

The one I have tried and test is using Pidgin and using the Bonjour protocol which works P2P and hence locally. Plus its cross-platform.

Not video support though.

Just checked it up, not bad ... might give it a whirl!

eish ... my iBurst is flying this morning ! Downed Pidgin (13mb) in less than 2 minutes ! Came down at 98kbs.... thats fast for iBurps !!! he he

Now, I assume you running on Windows? If so, you will also need to download the Bonjour libraries to make it work. On Linux, it works out the box.
