We had a prize in TOPS the other day, it was a Green Boombox, nice machine, connector for tablets phone or you could bluetooth your music, it had a ten hour rechargeable battery..... And was loud..... The Moose liked....

At the party down at the local Yacht Club on Saturday, the dude had a Samsung bluetooth wireless speaker.... It had great sound...

The Moose wants something similar to put outside by his porty pool for the summer so he can listen to techno bagpipe hits in d major, whilst sipping on a cold one staring down the English in laws...

Any suggestions?

Stay away from Bluetooth Speakers. The audio quality is shocking. It just has too low bandwidth to be able to do good quality sound

The the quality of Bluetooth transmission is way better than the early days. Go take a listen for yourself. The Bluetooth connection sounds better than aux.

I can recommend two types. I am normally a Bose hater. Their stuff is good. But not at all where it should be for the price. But there portable bluetooth speaker (SoundLink) is excellent. The sound is amazing for such a small box. Go to any Dionwired early in the morning when its quiet and take a listen. Cons: doesn't charge by MicroUSB. Need to lug an adapter around. Life not as long as others. Price is 3k though. I would pay R2500. Perhaps you could get someone to bring one back from the states for you for 2 grand.

The JBL charge offers excelleny practicality. Long battery life. And it can charge your phone at the same time. And it can charge from a USB port. The sound is good but is as expected from a small speaker. The bass response is not as good as the bose. Cost is about R1900. JBL is Harmon Kardons lower segment brand.

Bought my Samsung at Dionwired.... After Head Office plugged her mobile in playing Heavy Metal..... Woke the entire store up.... Then we were good to go...

But seriously.... Ten hour battery time.... Awesome sound.... Cannot complain......

What's the model morty?

If it's the e430d, that's a great buy.
