Do you have any company suggestions for Ceramic coating? I'm looking for 5+ year coating options.

Is it okay to apply it myself or get it done professionally? I never done ceramic coating before so not really familiar with it. Any advices ? Things to look for ? I don't want to just give the car to someone and they ruin the paint if they use cheap products.

So i enquired about this and was told its a waste of time unless:
1) Its a show car
2) its a garage queen
3) you have too much money

basically your car needs to be permanently clean to care. so if its a daily, i wouldnt bother.
Also apparently dont go cheap. and definately dont do it yourself

If you want a more professional service with little to no free time on your hands you'll have to get it done through pros. I did it myself as I found the cost to be obsurd for what it does on your car and given that I prefer detailing my car at home by myself.

Not true.
Had my car undergo a full "treatment" in December.
This included a 2 stage wash, paint correction and 3 x stage polish and then Ceramic coating.
Cost was R2500, but, i can tell you now, the dust just falls off the car.
Rain beads off it like nothing.
The first 2 months after the ceramic, I never even washed the car. I'd hose it down and go for a short drive.
Only the Wheels really needed cleaning because of brake dust.
OP which area are you located? I would highly recommend the guy who did my car.

In 2016 we had Ceramic Pro done on the Cayenne right after we bought it. There is not a swirl in sight on that whole car. Cost was about R11k back then. Amazing protection. Had it done at Race! in JHB.

On the Raptor I got a guy who does mobile detailing from FB and they charged me around R6k. I was too busy on the day to check what product they were using. But I already see some very light swirls. And I wash it myself with the 2 bucket method, foam cannon, etc.

The Porsche has been washed by the helper since new. And not one swirl. The guys who did the Raptor tuned me that they could not believe the condition the Cayenne was in. Also no maintenance treatments or anything done on the Porsche. Just wash it.

As with all things, prep work is crucial. If the car has defects they must first do paint correction etc. then the coating.
