Just a suggestion :

I personally think that the first ISP able to offer the following type of account would REALLY make a sh*#load of money :

I think many Noobs, like myself, would prefer using ONE account from ONE ISP to download both Local and INTL stuff from the net, so if it's possible :

Offer your clients an account with let's say 30GB Local cap and 3GB INTL cap.
Then YOU as the ISP "route" your clients' traffic, so that their INTL cap don't just get sucked up at the start of the month leaving them with local only download...
Rather then use their Local cap and INTL cap as would be used with Route Sentry in two different accounts..
Seeing as not all ADSL users do the effort of going through forums prior to getting ADSL, they would probably not know- (or just plainly be scared of ) programs like Route Sentry, and SPECIALLY when it's the technologically incompetent parents getting the ADSL, they would just feel more secure about getting an all-in-one package than getting two accounts etc..

If possible, this, in my opinion would be the ultimate ISP account!!!

problem is ADSL isp's are mainly account resellers for products that run on provider infrastructure. Openweb tries to do this tho with their openbrowse package although it is only for browsing the net/websites.

Basically whats needed is a provider like IS to get their act together and do it as Saix won't if its not forced to, after all their make more money with this model of local costing the same as international(or close to). I think IS has missed the boat so to speak by not finding a work around and might get burried when neotel(if they do) provide a news service + other services as well as better pricing models and saix changes their model which we are now hoping is mid march/april

TOPIC: PAY FOR LOCAL NEWS SERVERS FOR BETTER SERVICE

regarding news servers, in the good ol days of 30GIG SAIX @ R299, i used to pay for intl news server access. In return, got 60 days retention, 100% uptime, 90% fullspeed access... I am willing to pay for a local IS news server access, if it is priced like the intl ones.

to pay for hardware upgrades, etc....

what u guys think?
