Even the dead aren't exempt from criminals anymore

THE corpse of a suspected suicide victim hanging from a tree was stripped bare by thieves in Pietermaritzburg early yesterday morning.

Early morning motorists were horrified by the sight of the man’s body from a tree on the N3 near the Alan Paton Drive (Durban Road) off-ramp yesterday.

The Witness was told the man had clothes on when his body was first seen soon after 6 am. However, police said they found the body naked, suggesting that the corpse was robbed.

Oh sorry I forgot how many times I've seen a corpse naked on the side of the road or read in the paper numerous stories of dead people being robbed of their possesions

Good grief. I was sleepy hollow at the time. Must have been sleeping when that happened.

People will rob anything/anyone blind given half a chance. Freshly crashed cars w/occupants, suicide jobs, etc...
