Suicide attacks are un-Islamic: Ulema

Taliban, Al'Qaida etc are only convinced in their minds that their Islamic and Allah ordained. Retarded terrorist groups hijacking and twisting religions for their own twisted gains. Every Islamic person I've spoken to before thinks these guys are complete nutcases :)

Hell even Christians have done this before. The Crusades? ;)

UnIslamic? Please spread the word!

As for the Crusades (mentioned by JHatman): learn history. The Crusades were a (failed) attempt to recover lands conquered by Moslem invaders. Palestine, Syria, Egypt and most of the Near Middle East were almost entirely Christian by the time the Crimson Wind swept over the desert. These Christian lands were conquered by Moslem invaders, and the Crusades were a defensive effort (and ultimately failed). It was only when the new (turkish) conquerors of Jerusalem desecrated the most revered Christian shrines (including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre) and arrested and enslaved thousands of Christian pilgrims that European Christians responded with an attempt to expel the Moslem invaders. Bickering and squabbles between venal European princes made failure inevitable.

One could almost draw parallels between the Moslem invaders of that time, and in modern Afghanistan and Iraq as whats perceived by Al'Qaida as the American invaders and occupiers of both Iraqi wars. How history does repeat itself.

Obama things he can stem the hatred by putting pressure on Israel to give up its nuclear arsenal. Many before him have tried this political chess maneauvre and failed.

Anyone here think we going to see another war in that region this year raise your hand :)

ISLAMABAD: Leading Ulema of the country declared on Sunday that suicide attacks and beheading of people were ‘un-Islamic’ acts and said that militants in Swat and Fata were pursuing the agenda of Pakistan’s enemies.

Amazing what they'll say for the press, just sad that it's not true.

Pakistan says Rushdie knighthood justifies suicide bombings

Pakistan's religious affairs minister suggested that the knighthood was so grave an offence that any Muslim anywhere in the world would be justified in taking violent action.

"If somebody has to attack by strapping bombs to his body to protect the honour of the Prophet then it is justified," Mr ul-Haq told the National Assembly.
