Hi,

I recently purchased a CM690 case, but I am finding the fans too noisy, especially the rear fan, while I want to swap the front fan for one without the Blue LED.
The side panel fan is also too noisy.

Any suggestions on suitable (as in cheap and good quality) alternatives?

Also, is it worth getting fans for the two slots on top and the one at the bottom?
I don't do any gaming, so don't really need state of the art cooling.

Have you tried slowing down the fans? Most of the noise comes from vibration and the sound of air moving past the grilles. That's if the bearings are good in the fans.

If you slow them down you'll get less air therefore less noise, but temps might go up a bit. Sometimes they don't which indicates getting loads more air than you need in the first place.

I believe some of the quietest fans (on paper) we get here would be the Cooler Master sickle fans, but damned if I can find them. They're never in stock. I might be ordering some Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans in the next couple of months.

Get the Coolermaster thunderblade fans, they move a lot of air. 66.67CFM

Get a fan controller so you can dial them down a bit.

Was that a toilet seat lying in the corner towards the end of that clip?
