What do toilored suits go for these days?

Where to get one in JHB?
How long is a piece of string?

What’s your flavour in terms of material, colour, cut? Trying to impress people at work, or those at an exclusive event? On a budget or don’t care?

My suggestion, buy something already made at tailored prices.

Check here and work in reverse. They have specials running by the way: https://www.hugoboss.com/za/en/sale...=Sale&srule=sorting_suits_ATS-SKU Push (SALE)

The labour will be roughly the same (i.e. same tailor will charge more or less the same), so get quality fabric/material.

Natural (wool, cotton) fabric are better quality and more expensive than man made fabric.

When we had proper men clothing stores in Cape Town, (I havent seen one in years), you could get a wool suit fitted to your body shape. Note it was about 3 times Woolies price for their cheap suits.

I havent bought a suit in a while, my current job is not as formal as previous ones.

Bought suits at Khaliques. They also tailored them. I went for cheapest suits I could find, but they all looked great. Got a few shirts thrown in. Also bought some Italian shoes. Look like Barney Stinson in Europe - the only place I need to wear them when I go over.
