Summer nights made cooler

That doesn't work. Just redistributes the heat even more.

Any kind of moving air is better than still hot air.
I also find that the ceiling fan works, but the only problem is, it dries your mouth and sinuses out (but then so does the aircon).

That is what I am trying to avoid.
I get that scratchy feeling in my throat after a night under the fan

Explain please

Take a 2L coke bottle, cut it (horizontaly) in half, boil 500ML of water then add 2 table spoons of brown sugar then add one packet of yeast and mix it in the bottom half. Turn the top part of the coke bottle upside down and place it in the bottom half then put it outside your door or window

Theory: Brown sugar + Yeast = CO2, mosquitoes fly in the bottle and cant get out. This trap lasts for a week.

Have you tried this? And what about all the bees and ants and flies it will also attract?

I tried it and it works, i think the CO2 chases away the unwanted guests.

Its really strong, i took one whiff and nearly passed out.

Pedestal fan directed at the bed. The ceiling fan doesn't help at all, I find.

Pic of trap?

How do you kill the mozzis that are still alive in the trap?

The thing with those traps I'm always wondering is whether they increase the total number of mozzies attracted to the area of your property in general. No point in trapping 50 mozzies if the traps attracts 100 mozzies that weren't there before.

Humans naturally attract mozzies, so I don't think it will bring any more.

Give Soy Lites moisturising body candle a try it repels the mozzies. Put citrus peels on the inside of your window sills, you could also make use of citronella lamps or sprays. These bio friendly repellants get the job done.
