Barca have a eye for talent and the fact manu havnt played him means nothing in regard to his talent.

The difference between the 2 teams is man-u buy talent from other clubs where as barca develop their players.
I see big things for him with puyol as his mentor.

im trying to think of the barca superstars off the top of my head

We been through this b4 but here are a few names that have come from the youth system (so this excludes players that have achieved more in barca than at another team)

Messi
Valdés
Puyol
Bojan
Xavi
Fabregas
Giovani dos Santos

Barca saw his talent before he was 13 and re-located him and his whole family to barcelona.

He was diagnosed with a growth problem, barca said if his willing to come to the team they will pay for any medical needs he will have.
 
sounds to me like both united and barce produce good players but at the same time spend millions on superstars
 
The talentthat Untied produces was in the mid 90's.

Thats just to name a few.

Italy have produces great stars as well. The biggest name to come out of England currently is Walcott. That should sum it up. Walcott cannot compare to these stars.

Sounds about right.

Now look at Arsenal and Chelsea - how many players have come up through their youth systems? I can't think of very many...
 
How many players have come thru the United system? Besides the early 90's?

England dont have good youth academies

All players that have achieved nothing in europe in regard to recognition as top players, excluding beckham which has picked up few fifa awards.

You comparing manu players to a team that has had
Maradona
Romario
Ronaldo
Rivaldo

in their ranks....
 
u cant say that about walcott

i mean that one goal he scored was one of the best goals i have ever seen in life

he does not start often for arsenal, so his talent is being wasted warming the bench but i for one think walcott is going to be a legend

Did Barca get all those players from their youth system? And since when does win the CL not get you recognition as an at least good footballer?

Well technically Walcotte is from Southamptons youth academy...i dont think it counts as developing if the club pays 10+ Million pounds for a player.
 
no i never said he came up through their system

i just said he is a superstar that should get to play every game

Not from the youth system but have played for barca.

You guys need to go and read up about the spanish youth system and reserve system, it will open up your eyes in regard to youth/player development.

The Uk has a pretty bad youth system hence big teams buy young players from other teams.
