Barry is not going to replace Xabi, he will be playing at LW from what i've heard,and he plays at LW at Villa,well kind of with Young just ahead of him in that funny formation.
Doesnt look like Alonso will be leaving in the summer as rafa and xabi have denied the rumours.
I dont know how true the saviola rumour is but aparantly he will replace voronin,BUT it doubt its true. If we cant get Rafinha then i guess Degen is a good 2nd choice,theres not really alot of good available fullbacks out there.
Also i think Bentley will be an amazing signing,just look at his stats(Goals asists) for the last two seasons then you will see why i rate him.

Barry as LW would be a joke. Barry on one end and Kuyt on the other ROFL. Opposition fullbacks could park off in our half :D. Barry is not a winger by a million miles. Left midfield at best. A more talented version of Riise.

Rafa also said Kewel, Sissoko and Crouch weren't leaving by offering them contracts and now look. I don't believe a word he says about his own players the way he messes them around.

Saviola would be an improvement over Voronin. But then again so would Brain McBride , Mikel Forsell(SP) and a bunch of other forwards from relegated teams would be an improvement.

Now Rafinha would be a good purchase going by what a hear. But why the need for Degen if we've got Arbeloa?

Bentley would be a good squad player not a first team regular IMO.
 
So who do you suggest we get at left wing?personally il be happy with barry.Kuyt is a whole nother story...id prefer bentley as our RW.
Have you seen arbeloa play this season?hes just not good enough, just look at how chelsea scored against us at anfield.Hes a good squad player but i think even finnan would be better than arbeloa.From what iv heard Degen can play at LB aswell and with riise leaving that may be why.I think the deal for Degen is done,he will be a bosman free transfer.

Cech denies Chelsea exit rumours

Cech has been one of Chelsea's key players since joining in 2004

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has pledged his future to the club after his agent said an unnamed club was lining up a £32m bid for him.

"Contrary to numerous press stories over the last couple of days, I would like to make it very clear I have no plans to leave the club," Cech said.

"I am very happy at Chelsea. I still have two years left on my contract.

"I believe the club will sit down with my representatives at the right time to discuss an extension of my contract."

The 25-year-old Czech Republic international joined Chelsea from French side Rennes four years ago, and has been integral to their success in recent years.

And with Neville G coming back, what will become of Wesley Brown? :p
 
im not sure gary neville will get a start in all honesty

he is getting on a bit and i dont think when he does come back he will be able to run with brown
 
Neville is getting on a bit, but he is still fantastic. Richards will need a bit of moulding, so training with Man U and Neville could be what he needs. He could become one of the best right backs in UK, built like a brick house that boy!

Indeed, I'd prefer Richards to Brown any day- he is built like a small house :eek:

The 23-year-old, who has scored 41 goals in a superb season, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

"I'm very happy here but let's see after the Champions League final what happens," Ronaldo told Spanish TV at United's training ground.

"I feel at home here. I've been here five years but the future, we'll see."

He added: "I've said a million times I'd like to play in Spain but dreaming is one thing, reality is another. I don't know."
