@ Merc - Of course age matters!!! Its extremely important. Almost every write up comparing the two (messi and Ronaldo) the journo almost always eludes to the fact that Messi is only 21 and is amazed how he is playing at his young age.

Just my last 2c on Messi and Ronaldo - Reading football blogs and forums people always tend to have the view that most of Ronaldo's goals are scored against poor'ish opposition.
EPL does not have the depth in teams that La Liga and Serie A have. Whenever there is a big match, Ronaldo seems to be non existant. Well most of the big matches.
They also feel that if ***a or Messi have to play against the same opposition, they will have no problem raking in as much goals as Ronaldo.

Well the only way to settle who is better for ronaldo to move to madrid.
Hope this happens, would be nice to see how they both do in the same league.

My prediction would be that Messi would overshadow Ronaldo in La Liga. La Liga is very different to EPL.
As Xavi said, in the EPL they give u alot of space to run and thats why Ronaldo is so good. He said that if Ronaldo comes to La Liga he wont have any space, cos defenders close u down very quickly.

Yea but its all speculation, until ronaldo moves to spain, thats all it will ever be.
Maybe messi would not be as good in premier league because he has to much space, If he likes to suck in defenders he might find all the space a little to much for him, because there is no doubt ronaldo is fast and accelerates really well. Again im just saying im not saying HE WILL FIND IT HARD. Speculating not saying its cast in stone that he wont do well.
We will see in time, don't get me wrong messi will be a legend.
Hopefully we will see by november when ronaldo should be fit again.

We don't know for sure what the outcome will be once he leaves for Madrid. This is all stupid speculation. I don't care what Fergy says. I use my own intuition and prefer to not get fed and brainwashed by nonsense and rubbish on the internet.

The difference is Fergie no longer want Ruud or Beckham, they where not forced into sell, they sold because they did not those 2 anymore.

I think he wants to leave not for the Messi or K*ka, i think he wants to leave cos of greed - the big pay day and also the fact that he wanted to play for Real Madrid since he was a kid. So he sees that as the pinnacle of any footballers career.
