Seriously doubt Zenit would sell him for such a low fee. I mean Wayne bridge and Craig bellamy went for similar, if not more than that.
 
this 12.5 is a reported on BBC from an SMS from some dude who says his brother heard it on radio in moscow... total BS if u ask me... looking at 15 mil for arshravin ... hopefully arsenal signed him...

They were bought by city. All prices get inflated when city are involved these days.
 
true that! but i reckon he is worth atleast as much as keane and he was bought for 20 millions.
 
ummm... its been on the news since yesterday that the transfer deadline was going to extened for certain cases...
 
I know it was rumored and hoped for, well according to skysports news earlier today. But has it really been? Because skysports hasn't said anything. But just found this:

20.15 Sky Sports News understands Andrei Arshavin's move to Arsenal is expected to be finally completed on Tuesday when the Premier League receive on the necessary paperwork.

the deadline has closed, but for those that could not finalise things because of the weather... tee hee... they are getting upto 48 hours extra to finish off stuff they have started. it doesnt count if you havent actually done anything before the deadline.

I don't think its a matter of how long its been, more of a - did you jump in 5 minutes after the deadline and are using this as an excuse b1tchslap to clubs who didnt bother to do anything during the transfer window. the clubs have been given 24-48 hours to finish what they have started - time which was applied for prior to the window closing. i doubt they would veto a deal that they explicitly approved beforehand...
 
Zenit Confirm Arsenal's Andrei Arshavin Signing​

Zenit St. Petersburg spokesman Alexei Petrov has told Sky Sports that Andrei Arshavin will be an Arsenal player on Tuesday, following Monday's tense negotiations.

However, he's hinted that the spendthrift Gunners have had to break the bank more than they'd have hoped to.

"The clubs have managed to complete the deal," he is quoted as saying. "Arshavin will play for Arsenal from now on.

"The terms are favourable to Zenit. It's more than the £12 million which is being said by Arsenal."

As things stand at the moment, the Premier League are still looking through paperwork.

However, it has been confirmed that the Arshavin papers were received before the deadline yesterday, with a fee, personal terms and a medical all sorted.

There's still several transfers being looked at, so Arsenal fans have no reason not to expect the switch to be completed shortly

Good for them. They needed to buy someone who wasn't a teenager.
