Sunsynk 5.12kw v 5.3kw

Hi all looking at getting sunsynk now seeing as theres no real other choice around here where I stay other than Hubble from installers.Id like to know ,apparently one if not all Sunsynks are 0.5c batteries and not true 1c batteries unless you run them at 100% all the time and Sunsynk themself actually advised that you run tham at 0.5c? I know its better for the batteries but is 1 gonna be enough for the 5kw inverter then or will you actually need 2 like the dynesse batteries?or is all this wrong and they run comfortable at 1c?and and which of the Sunsynk batters are the better one? Thank you

Am I misunderstanding you? I did say dynesse you need 2 batteries for a 5kw inverter because they are 0.5c
 
But Do you have any advise on the rest please? Seems to be alot of conflicting info out there?

Sorry did not read the question properly.

So no. Buying Dyness batteries to go with a different brand 3 phase inverter. Only have the Dynesse manuals on hand.

Why aren't you buying sunsynk batteries?
 
Guys thats why Im asking, its a single phase inv,I do wanto buy the Sunsynk batteries Im asking is it true about some of them or all of them being 1c batteries and of the 5.12v v 5.3v what is the better buy and its for a house install, havent done alot of research on them as I was going to go with hubbles or the Alpha but changed my mind

You need to check the manuals of the batteries

Often what they mean with 0.5c batteries
They can supply load at 1c ie can meet the draw on your 5kw inverter ie need one
But recommend charging at 0.5c ie 50a

so if just pulling kettle or other high powered device for a short stint not a problem
as to pull through a 4hrs shedding your avg pull would need to be 0.25c
ie if you pull 1c battery would be flat in an hour and you would need more batteries anyway


This is often bms related instead of cell related (not always but more often than not)

ie the daly bms and others like it
Allow a max charge rate that is half the discharge rate
So if you try and charge with more it disconnects the charging circuit from the cells and stops charging
some say it is better for cell longevity i suppose hence why they go this route

on the sunsynk batteries you can draw 100a constant load
so would only need one, they do add a caveat of 25c +-2c

if you deplete the battery over a shedding you would need 4hrs of 25A ie 0.25c to recharge it
so really not a problem

the only problem i can see is limiting your solar
ie the max you would be able to put into the battery would be 50a * 51.2 = 2560w
ie if your solar array is more than 2560w the excess would be lying idle if you don't have load to pull it

i would not go for an nmc cell based battery over a lfp/lifep04 battery
for safety reasons, i don't know what all the hubbles are based on just know that there are some nmc models in the mix

failures percentages are so tiny that it should not matter, but however small the statistic it matters if it happens to be yours
