Sunsynk 5Kw queries

Just bought and installed a Sunsynk 5kw inverter. I only have panels installed at the moment. During the day, it runs like a dream. Blends power to the load when load demand is high. Even reaches beyond the load circuit when solar power is higher than load demand and provides power to the non-essential circuit. I have also installed the CT Coil so that i dont feed the grid. All works perfectly during the day.
Lithium battery will eventually be added to the bundle. There are no batteries attached currently.
I have the default/bundled data logger installed and use the solarman app to monitor production and usage.
Two questions to those who may have experience with this inverter.
1. There is data logging once the sun goes down.
Is this because there is no battery
2. Can this unit be controlled remotely. If i am away from home, i would like to be able to control whether load circuit ONLY is supplied or not.
 
Sunsynk has a dongle in beta testing which will have really real time data and the ability control parameters remotely

Any ideas why no logging occurs in the night. Does it have anything to do with the fact that there is no battery at the moment? Or does it just not log consumption in the night? Or is there a setting that i am missing?

Not sure.
Might be worth while to register on the power forum and/or the Sunsynk forum.
You would get more expert advice there.

With no battery its basically just passing through the power from the grid and running in standby mode. It's basically in standby mode until the sun comes back up and no data is logged.

I saw this same issue being discussed a while ago but can't recall the post now.

The current Solarman dongle can also allow it, but that option is reserved for installers only, can be requested via their support whatsapp group.

So if I have my plant linked to the current non live logger, what's the next step to get access to live tracking, is it just requesting it via their support whatsapp group (if so can you send me a link on how to access the support group as I can't find it on their faq unless I'm looking at the wrong link)?

To clarify, I wasn't referring to live tracking, but the ability to control parameters remotely.
For "live" tracking you will need something local to perform the modbus queries, there are threads on powerforum.co.za that cover this

Yes, just send a request to Akshay on the group, and another private message containing your login ID and password. Don't do it like the others and send your login details to the whole group :giggle: :cool:.
