Winter is coming.

I for-see sub station outages.

I'd like to get ahead of the curve and have a generator added - so it can act like a backup grid and charge my batteries in the worst case scenario (no sun and no grid if substation blows up again).

I'm thinking of something like this:

Anything I should consider?
Anyone added a generator - is it easy to do?

Thanks!

We have a 15kVa generator that was here when we bought the house, fully integrated with automatic stop/start and switching capability but I have chosen not to integrate it via the Aux port of our inverter, as I want to use that in the future for at least our geysers when there are longer 'black outs'.
