Hi,
One of my 2 Sunsynk 5.12KWH lithium batteries started beeping this afternoon.
The inverter showed no errors and the BMS screen showed everything perfect with SOC at 100%

On Sunsynk.com I found a document about this that mentions a "imbalance phenomenon" however nothing about correcting the problem or stopping the alarm.
The document makes mention that the imbalance is not a problem and the alarm will be fixed in the next version of the BMS software.
There is no date on the document so I have no idea how old the document is.
Also no mention of how to do a software upgrade on the BMS or how to fix the problem in the interim.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Thank you

Aren't those SunSynk's just rebranded Hubbles?

If so what do those manuals say?

An update on the beeping SSLB1 5.12KWH Sunsynk battery.

I have 2 connected in parallel.
Only one beeps when SOC reaches 100%
The beeping stops after about 15 minutes or so.

Should I consider connecting them one at a time to the inverter to try and balance each or what should I do?

Thanks

Worth a shot.

Maybe see if beeping duration gets less after each 100% cycle , is it possible to see ea cell voltage

I don't want to open the SSLB1 to check cells in case of a warranty claim.

I will check the duration.

Thanks

Never do that , maybe there a software way to read error message and cel voltages

You said it was ok for a couple of weeks.
What about the Cable link between batteries, bad connection. Bad Chinese crimp.
You need to test cable and make shure all is ok.

Thanks I will have a look at the cabling and all the connections.
Appreciate the suggestion

Have you phoned SunSynk JHB. You end up in overseas somewhere.
Speak to one of the engineers you might get a better answer.
Still only cost of a local call.

Thank you. Will give it a try.

I still have not been able to fully resolve the beeping batteries (now both) other than hitting the reset button on them.

I spoke to Sunsynk and they told me they are not able to assist because they cannot see the inverter due to the fact that I have the Solarman logger.
This also prevents them from updating the firmware.

I was under the impression both loggers allow for updates.

Planning to switch to the Sunsynk logger.
Anyone using the Sunsynk logger with Home Assistant?

Thank you

Both loggers work for updates BUT the Sunsynk team may not have access to the Solarman credentials to push down updates. Furthermore i think the Solarman dongle only updates the inverter not the batteries. The Sunsynk logger may have the ability to update both

Solarman logger works with HA - there is an integration for it thats been through a number of revisions and it works well. I used it for about 2 weeks until i got my Solar Assistant and have used that for HA since

Are you happy with the Solar Assistant?
Can I use both Solar Assistant and Sunsynk logger?

Yes you can use Solar Assistant with the Sunynk / Solarman logger - they connect to the inverter using different ports. Very happy with Solar Assistant - realtime localised data, integrated into HA using mqtt and recently allows you to issue commands to your inverter from HA. They also are constantly updating the software with new functionality and the devs are very responsive if you mail them with questions. Only drawback is the additional cost, either of the software alone (800 odd if you already have a Raspberry Pi) or the complete system (2.x k)
