This could change the game quite a bit over the wind turbine options. No pole required and I could see it mounting easily enough to the apex of a standard A-frame roof and being as modular as you need it to be.

Of course no idea on cost or output but something worth watching.

It's not a sunsynk product AFAIK but maybe they're badging it nowadays? From what I recall, Keith wasn't overly confident when they investigated it some time back.

I like that it's silent. Would be keen to see output and cost.

They are essentially going to rebrand it and become the reseller, much like they do with all their products.

It appears to have a matured a hell of a lot but yeah remains to be seen what performance and price is like.

Purely by form factor it would work a hell of a lot better residentially.

I don't think SunSynk has any products which are truely theirs. Their modus operandi seems to be to label products and then provide support (software and otherwise).

It would shine where I am, hopefully a lot of stainless is used otherwise the sea air will be a barrier... that was in Liverpool so that bodes well.

Output at price would play the biggest factor, along with your location… Likely way better than a traditional set up.

Yeah, if this works it'd be fantastic. These have been around for about 15 years though and haven't really broken into the market so I'm sceptical.

Apparently it is Ideally mounted on the ridge of your roof where the slightest breeze towards the housr causes it to spin. There's an updraft effect when the wind blows along the roof towards the ridge so it runs a lot more with less wind than traditional turbines.

Wind is over rated.

It's either too slow or too fast.

Get more batteries. I'm sure in 5 years there will be stacks of used EV batteries for cheap cheap.

Different strokes for different folks. I'd love to have an extra source - if I could charge the battery from wind power when it's available that would be great.

It's often windy when it's not sunny (at least here in Cape Town).

How much are you willing to spend?

I'm very much with you on this. I'd love something that could supply 300W overnight or in bad weather.
