We need new types and got a quote a couple of weeks ago from a few places and decided to go to Supa Quick for 4 x Bridgestones. We told them we'll wait until the end of the month when we get paid etc.

In the meantime, I get an sms from Vodacom offering 34% off at Supa Quick...

So we go back today and of course they've never heard of this deal, and anyway the tyres are already discounted by a lot anyway so the price quoted a couple of weeks ago.

I mean, what the actual fsck :wtf:

So I phone the head office and they say the same thing, discount is already added in the original quote and each branch adds a different discount. Even though when we asked for a quote initially, there was no mention of any special price or discount. Just a quote for the types with a price at the bottom.

What a complete and utter scam.

That's a k@k one bro.

Try HiQ/ Jodys if they have one in your area, their prices are generally good.

I tried a few in the area and around somerset west already and supa quick was the best price for the Bridgestones. Although I tried another SQ branch out n Stellenbosch just now and they quoted R500 less per tyre already.

Waiting for Hermanus to phone back.

I received the same BS story, i will never buy from Supa Quick due to this scam.

Head office told me they would contact the branch and see if the price was final. I told them not to bother, I'll go elsewhere even if it's more expensive.

Fscking shysters

So they guy gave you the best price you could find at the time, and you're pissed off because he can't drop another 34% off an already good price? I think you're being unreasonable. The discount offer will apply to the advertised list price, not to a price that you've already negotiated a discount on.

I didn't negotiate anything. I asked for a price, they gave me one. There was no mention of any discount by me or them at any time.

Then when the end of the month comes and I get an offer for 34% off of Bridgestone tyres at supa quick, you think it's unreasonable to go and ask for 34% discount from Bridgestone tyres at supa quick?

Like seriously? You think it's reasonable that they say they have already discounted the tyres?

Tell me what is the point of this advert? It clearly states 34% off of tyres for Vodacom customers using a code.

But supa quick act surprised and tell me they've never heard of the code ( a lie because friends have been told the same thing was said to them by the same person at reception)

It's a frikken scam. Plain and simple.

Basically, the tyres cost the same no matter what. Voucher or no voucher. Promo or no promo. Code or no code.

So what is the point?
