Super Fast Torrents on a 384kbps line. Getting 200kbps!

So unbeleivable wont lie, 384kbps line 200kb/s download speed, yoh if that were true then everyone would not bother getting 4 - 10Mbps ADSL Lines. The highest I have gotten on my ADSL (I use the 384kbps ADSL Line). was 57kb/s download speed.

If your line is syncing at 384 it won't go faster than that. Uncapped accounts can faster than their advertised speeds when used on faster lines, even if only for a brief period of time (when I had a R1 1mb afrihost uncapped it went at 4mbps for ~20GB and then slowed down to less than 30KBps).

It is not a 384kbps line they are referring to, but a 384kbps account they are referring to. The line speed may be 4meg, but I know with torrents you can push an account speed way higher than intended on a faster line.

So OP is just confusing terminologies which makes OP sound really cool. But you're not.

you guys really think the ISP will let you rape their 384kbps account for 500GB per month? the way i see it, if you can't even get your bits and bytes right, chances are everything else you say is BS too. trying to find an explanation for something imposable doesn't help the party reading the BS look good either
