Supersonic - Absolutely Useless

I cancelled my Supersonic account in July due to their poor service. Nothing was debited from my account in August. Now, 2 months later, I receive an SMS stating that Supersonic has loaded a debit order of R1000 against me! It's like "Night of the Living Dead" - just as soon as I think I'm rid of you, you strike from the grave.
I tried phoning them this afternoon and was number 44 in the queue. Now they probably expect me to spend another R150 on airtime just to get this sorted (Using the WhatsApp line is pointless.).

I have never run my own business and I can only imagine how stressful it must be, but f-ing hell Supersonic - sort out your sh^t! Not billing your customers for a service they didn't use and having more than 2 call centre operators on duty, can't be that difficult to implement????
 
Hi guys,

I spoke to Supersonic and they confirmed my cancelation, but could not explain why I was billed two months after the cancelation. I was told that someone would contact me... It's now been two weeks and no communication from Supersonic.

Is there anything else I can do? Can I report them to ICASA? They stole almost R950 from me and now they can just sit on it, while I wait for someone to contact me? That's insane!
 
this type of sht is why i dont allow debit orders for prepaid services. no EFT option, then fck off.
 
Just dispute it from within your banking app to get an instant refund.

I wanted to phone the bank and reverse it, but I was worried that I would get
blacklisted and would then have to sort that out as well...

Update: So, I spoke to them this morning and was basically told that they were waiting for me to phone and confirm that I wanted my refund to be paid back into my account! (vs a credit note on my canceled account! )

They can take money from my account without my permission, but need my permission to pay the money back into the same account!? :ROFL: :ROFL: :ROFL: :ROFL: :ROFL:

Supersonic is totally useless, can’t even do a speedtest on MYBB with their service since yesterday. I asked them to cancel my service via twitter seeing that I could not contact them and their proud response was that I have to pay a R600 cancellation fee because it’s within the first 6 months. Their service was great until recently so it seems they use the same business model as rain. Good service and then FU and you have to pay a cancellation fee.
 
Same router band no config changes but with a telkom sim card.

So officially I can say that supersonic and mtn are more useless than I thhoght Telkom is.
 
Which century are you living in?
The century where I can't see the option to reverse a debit order on the Standard Bank app...

And phoning the bank = Phoning my private banker, which means not being no. 44 in a queue and isn't as inefficient as you might think (Somehow starting of my post with "I wanted to phone my private banker" would have been a little bit weird...)

Anyways, I hope that explains it...
