Supersonic on-the-go sims

I ordered one and they delivered it unprovisioned. I have spent over a month trying to get them provision the sim card to no avail. There is no support at all from Supersonic.

probably easier cancelling the one and ordering another :|

With non existent support no way I am going to get their product again.
got my sim .. put it in and got an sms telling me the number, but no data connection (regular mtn apn). I have logged a support request now to see what's what. I notice my order is still in progress on their website.

Tried their whatsapp support @ 1.30PM, still no reply other than being told i am being routed to an agent.
I called them around 2.30PM (+- 10min wait in queue) and the guy pushed my order through now I need to wait for the sim to be provisioned.

Seems like you gotta phone them to get things done - well, so far half-done.

Oy... I'll give it the 24hrs their FAQ claims it takes to activate before I call again.

What has their response been to your query?
Apologies, escalation with urgency, promises that they will contact me the following day.

I just called them again and they confirmed for me the APN is "ws.supersonic.mbb" and it's working now.

Nowhere on their website does it mention this, but I'm guessing you probably haven't been told this either. I asked them to please update their website with the info.

Been using it a bit today, gets 5G did 400 down 80 up earlier despite the product description being 150/150.

SIM can get SMSes but no calls since it's a data SIM I assume.

Despite the ballache to get them to tell me the APN it's good.

Thanks very much. Indeed the right APN is what was missing.

So far so good, managed to do a little trickery and get my usage into home assistant.

I will agree the support is fairly non existent unless you phone.

APN stopped working Saturday for about 3 hrs but then came right again.

any programming knowledge? technically it is just a curl call you can do in terminal or postman that returns json

No programming knowledge unfortunately. But I have a fedora machine here and I know how to go to the terminal and paste googled commands.

still going well here, month to month via credit card otherwise would never have touched it. stable and decent speeds, no reason to cancel.
