Supersport break away from multichoice

Would be awesome.
Somebody posted the other day about a weekend package.
Multichoice should really consider doing that.
Imagine getting only Supersport from 16h00 on a Friday until 21h00 on Sunday for R100/month

I would take that and chuck me current DSTV premium subcription.

Thats probably why they would never do this can you picture them losing revenue for the sake of the consumer

It will never happen unless govt forces Multichoice to split its distribution(DStv) and its content(Mnet, Supersport) so that consumers can get these channels on any platform willing to pay for them. This happens all over the world, recently TimeWarner spun off its cable subsidiary in the US.

Yes because....they want you to only Pay R100 ?

Forget it, Multichoice are gonna milk you guys for all it's worth! It will be R600 soon

ever think this could happen??
then we could just have a supersport package!

how awesome would that be!
It would also be fantastic if we didn't have to pay for the SuperSport channels.

Its never going to happen..

They're seperate companies, but they're one and the same...

Naspers will never split their cash-cow up.

You mean by DVB-T and streaming?

What would be cool would be if we could get 1-Seg TV here, as in Japan and Brazil and watch high quality digital content on a cell phone.

But what about Sky or BBC selling packages in this country.
All I need is my Soccer (EPL, La Liga and Serie A) and F1 and I'm sharp.

And how would they do that?.. they have no broadcast license and they don't have transponder coverage in this country?

I have a feeling our president Zuma will just be the solution for that. Viva ANC. :)
