Supersport streaming dead on linux (ubuntu)

I just went to check now, and whereas yeasterday the highest quality was 960 x 540 @ 1200 kbps, I see today it's been bumpedup to 1280 x 720 @ 2600 kbps. It actually looks pretty good! Why couldn't they have done this yesterday for the epic Brazilian F1 GP?
