ive had constant grief with the streaming on supersport. Have tested in depth in a few different cities on different adsl lines and accounts. What ive found to be fairly constant is the SAIX accounts. I can usually get a decent lagless stream on SAIX, whereas IS often just pauses and lags. This seems intermittent though, and varies depending on time of day and type of match being played. The super 14 worked on and off, but seemed more stable towards the end. The football currently also varies, one games its decent, others it isnt.
Ive made sure the problem isnt on my side, by doing speed tests, browsing, streaming off youtube etc... definitely not my side.
The last SA game was when I just couldnt handle it anymore. The game was virtually unviewable. I wrote up an email to supersport support, highlighting the issue and expressing my dissatisfaction with the service. Literally about 5 minutes later, I get a response from some 2bit support agent claiming they had tested the issue on their side with no problem and that it had to be on my side and i should contact the ISP. I was shocked to say the least, some twirp thinking he knows better than the person highlighting the issue.
I then took the time to test on every single account I own, unshaped, shaped, saix, IS you name it, I tested it. Did speed tests, took screenshots, gave a full run down of routing and everything I knew about the internet and how it works basically, expressing my concern that in 5 minutes they had drawn the conclusion that the issue was on my side, never mind me being an IT techie, ex telkom adsl techie, they knew better. Anyway, 2 days later I receive a response saying they apologise and have identified that the issue is on their side and thanking me for bringing it to their attention. Needless to say last fridays games were smooth.
But yesterday It wouldnt stream on IS again, SAIX was smooth the whole way.
